After years of oil painting, Pat discovered the world of porcelain art in 1976. She began teaching courses on two of her specialties - roses and forget-me-nots - a year later. Pat taught weekly classes for seventeen years and is now focusing on teaching seminars. One of her important goals is to help students become better painters and to help those interested in becoming teachers to reach this goal.

Pat has won many awards and has had pieces published in The China Painter , The IPAT , The British Porcelain Artist , and The China Decorator (including a cover). She was the State President of the Oklahoma World Organization of China Painters from 1984 to 1985.

Pat teaches creative classes on a variety of subjects with “No Fail Roses” being one of her most popular classes. Portraits, irises, and Meissen Style are some of the other popular seminars available to students.
